The Magic of May

Filed under: Ecommerce — admin @ 1:12 am

As we reach the half point in this month of May, there seems to be a calling to remember what this particular time of year is about and how we can take advantage of this in our lives. It’s a perfect time to use all the energies that are available to create the magic – that spark of light, laughter, and joy – that helps us to move forward with enthusiasm. Perhaps, in your own life, it’s a time to renew your commitment to your dreams and to let go of the struggle and hard work you’ve invested through the winter months to bring you to this point in time.

May Day reminds us that this is a time of celebrating the end of winter, the return of the sun, the fertility of the soils, and the life of the fields. This is a time to marvel at the new life that is emerging, and to embrace the rebirth and renewals in our own lives. It’s a time to let all that you’ve been working towards begin to blossom and come alive.

May Day is also the international working class holiday celebrating the 8-hour workday. Does anyone remember that? When you only worked 8 hours a day? Is anyone working so hard, putting in so many hours at working (even if it is your passion), that you’ve lost touch with the joy of life and living? Make this the time to create more balance and self-care in your life. Give yourself the chance to renew and become prepared for all the wondrous new life that’s emerging ahead. Let go of the struggle and relax a bit more. Be gentle, kind, and loving to yourself as you will be able to share more of that love, kindness, and compassion with others to create more peace and happiness in your world.

Cinco de Mayo, May 5th, reminds us to celebrate freedom and liberty. Acknowledge what you have released and gained freedom from, what you have left behind. Celebrate yourself and the space that freedom has created for more joy, success and true wealth to enter.

May 15th is a very special day. It is a day of the full moon which is a time when the most energy is released onto the Earth. This particular full moon is special because it marks the day when Buddha was born, when he was enlightened, and the anniversary of his death. Many will be gathering today in special Wesak Festivals to meditate to bring the highest good for all in the world. This is a time when your intentions and what you are focusing on can be activated by these same energies to manifest.

Here are some steps you can take to create the Magic of May in your own life:

1. Focus your thoughts, your visions, your actions, your words, your dreams, and your intentions on what you desire. Choose consciously today and in the days to come what your vision for your future will be.

2. Take time each day to visualize the life that you choose using all of your senses. See it, feel it, hear it, taste it, touch it, smell it, sense it, know it.

3. If you haven’t done it recently, this is a great time to sit down to write out your vision for your life using all of your senses. Write out your perfect workday, your perfect relationship, your perfect day of fun and play. Write down what you will feel, what you see, what you hear, what you smell, what you touch, what you taste. Make your vision as wondrous and vivid as you possibly can.

4. Expect that what you desire is coming to you. Be certain that only that which is loving, good, beautiful, abundant, perfect, peaceful, and joyful is present in your life.

5. Be grateful for all that you have received. Let love and joy and thanks pour out in everything you think, say, and do.

Come from your highest visions, with purpose and passion, and you are sure to manifest the Magic of May!

YOU deserve it!

The root cause for procrastination.

Filed under: Ecommerce — admin @ 5:15 am

Why is it that we as human beings often behave in ways that we don’t really want to? How often have you said or done something only to cringe at the thought of it afterwards? The truth is that your behaviour is mostly driven by your unconscious mind, especially behaviours that is hard to explain from an intellectual point of view. Procrastination is knowing what to do, having the ability and desire to do it, but still you don’t do it. Although there are many apparent causes for procrastination, the root cause for this illogical behaviour resides in your unconscious mind.

Your conscious mind is very limited in its ability to deal with life. That over which you have conscious control is mostly limited to one thing at a time. This is why using your willpower to create any real change rarely works long term. What you need to do is to change your automatic behaviour which resides in your unconscious mind, that part of you that controls all the vital function of your mind and body. You can try and overcome procrastination by using willpower but it will usually be a short term change. The cause for procrastination is not your conscious actions, but your unconscious associations that is to a large extent responsible for your behaviour.

Your nervous system is designed to preserve you and when fear presents itself your nervous system, through the working of your sub-conscious, will “kick in” to “protect you. The ironic thing is that we train ourselves, unconsciously, to fear certain things by making false associations about the meaning. Nothing in life has any meaning but the meaning you give it. You literally create neurological links to experiences that gets “stored” in your nervous system so that you can act quickly and accordingly next time. Whenever something happens to you, you assign a meaning to it by the way you communicate the experience to yourself. Unconsciously you are always trying to establish meaning and at a very basic level you are trying to establish whether something means pain or pleasure. This meaning then gets stored in your unconscious mind that will help you act (or re-act) appropriately in the future. The challenge is that when associations are reinforced you build up beliefs that will greatly influence your behaviour and is often the cause for procrastination.

Although procrastination makes no sense intellectually it actually reveals a lot about your unconscious and your self imposed limitations and (in)abilities. The major cause for procrastination is fear, and more specifically your fear that taking action will lead to pain or a painful experience of some kind. At some level your unconscious mind combines and searches it’s “files” to come up with a “link” that associates the action to a painful experience. This can range from something which is mildly uncomfortable to something physically painful. Although you consciously want to do something your unconscious will prevent you as it associates pain to the action. As human beings we automatically reach for comfort and will almost automatically reach for whatever feels comfortable in the moment. This is why you often procrastinate on tasks that do not feel good in the moment although it will mean much more pleasure in the future.

Interior Design Style and Colour Use for the Home Office

Filed under: Ecommerce — admin @ 9:28 pm

There are two ways that you can go about selecting the general decor of your home office: either follow the style that prevails in the rest of your home, or treat your office as an individual space. Choosing which way to go is a simple task requiring answers to only a few questions.

> Has your home been decorated in one style that is visible throughout?

> Is your office easily visible from other rooms/areas of your home?

> Does your work suggest a style of its own?

Based on the questions above, here are a few simple ways to help you easily achieve a pleasing decor in your home office.

If you are going to treat your office as a part of your home, using the same decor and style, your job is already half done. But remember, you don’t have to use the exact colour scheme or mood. You can modify what you see outside your office to blend smoothly. For instance, you can reverse the main and accent colours; you can use the same colours but in different proportions; or a different level of formality. Because you are decorating an office, it is likely that you are going to want to treat the style differently than how it appears in other areas of your home, and this is normal. Don’t be afraid to create a variation in the atmosphere — it is only the general style you are aiming to respect.

For a home office that is open within an area of your home, you are going to have to be a little more cautious. In this case, you must respect the style seen around your office, but at the same time you should definitely aim to create a sense of separation between your work space and living space. Visual separation does not mean building a wall; it means creating a new environment within the existing one. Some ways of creating visual separation include changes in ceiling height and/or floor level (a step up or down); a room divider placed to look decorative rather than confining; colour changes such as reversing the main and accent paint colours used on the walls; and furniture placement.

Placing furniture in a way that the layout separates space is fairly simple, but don’t forget to play with your ideas on graph paper first or else you may find yourself still rearranging while you should already be at your desk. Consider using a large bookshelf or storage cabinet as a room divider — the back of it can be decorated with fabric, paint, a collage… or place furniture back-to-back to create the sense of two separate zones. Keep in mind while you are working on the layout that you don’t want to feel that your office is, for instance, in the back of your basement — it is at the back of the basement. Just as words can be played with, so can space.

A home office that is to receive a style of its own is a fun thing to work out. You should aim to have a bit of who you are visible in the decor, while creating a visual sense of what you do. This is not a cubicle in a large office complex — this is your office. If you have a love of bold patterns, classic cars, angels… incorporate them into the decor even if they have nothing to do with what you will be doing in your office. At the same time, your office should say more about whay you do that “I work at a desk.” What do you do at that desk? If you are in the computer business, have things around that suggest that, like an enlarged and framed comic strip that has something to do with computers. If your office is actually more of a workshop and you do clothing alterations, incorporate your supplies into your decor: display spools of thread in a rainbow-like pattern, hand a rod a few inches from a wall and drape some fabrics over it for an ever-changing backdrop. If you work in the travel industry, have a model plane suspended, and display items or pictures symbolic of some of your favorite destinations; if it won’t get in your way, have a beach ball in your office, or make a “sandbox” to hang on the wall by gluing sand to the back of a shadow box and gluing small shells onto the sand.

“Top Ten Places to Find Content for your Money Magnet Website”

Filed under: Ecommerce — admin @ 7:05 pm

A major element of a Money Magnet website is content. Therefore, as an Internet business entrepreneur you should always be on the look out for new or repurposed content. Do you think that you have to write content by yourself every time? Think again. Content can be found from a slew of sources.

Following are the top ten places you can find new or repurposed content:

Content Source #1: Write the content yourself. Some Internet entrepreneurs love to sit down and write articles. They can write as many articles as they please or have time for.

Content Source #2: Dictate into an audio file. Then have the audio file transcribed. You can outsource the transcription to freelancers. Don’t have dictation software? You can find recommended dictation software at http://www.idictate.com.

Content Source #3: Blog! Have a Blog on your website that asks questions so that people respond. Their responses and comments add content to your website with no extra work on your part.

Content Source #4: Outsource content creation to a ghostwriter. You can employ a ghostwriter to create content for your website, articles, and emails among other copy. You can repurpose this content in a variety of ways by placing articles on your website and your Blog. Most Blog programs allow you to time stamp when the articles are to be published on your Blog. You can set up the whole year of Blogs ahead of time if you want to.

Content Source #5: You can buy content. For example, you head over to eBay for content. Search out eBooks that are for sale. Make sure that you buy the “Master” resell rights and not just the resell rights for the eBook. Master rights enable you to do whatever you wish with the eBook.

Content Source #6: Look in the Public Domain for content. You can find free articles that you can reprint. You can receive content from syndicated RSS feeds. You can also buy private label articles and add your name as the author.

Content Source #7: Find Wiki content. Go to http://www.wikiindex.com. It is the search engine for Wiki. Wiki is user driven (submitted) content.

Content Source #8: Convert existing content. This means that you repurpose content. You can change the angle of the article. You can also use the same content on your website in your article submissions and Blog.

Content Source #9: You can use content from any of your dud or defunct products. Don’t let this content go to waste. Use it again in one way or another.

Content Source #10: Package content you have already created and sell it. For example, you could write in a Blog for a year and then package it as an eBook for sale. You could also package existing articles into an eBook or special report for sale.

The Bull Dog May Not Be So “Bullish”

Unfortunately, first impressions of the bull dog terrier may not be favorable. Well, if you can get past the looks, you’ll find a very lovable, docile creature to escort you through your days.

Years ago in Great Britain and later, America, gamblers were obsessed with bloody fights between bulls and dogs. The main function of the canine was to hang on to the bull’s neck and worry the poor animal until it dies. In order to that bloody deed, strong jaws were necessary. And the popular choice of the time were the pit bulls.

At that time, pit bulls displayed a variety of characteristics and made the “sport” interesting. But after a while, the focus switched towards the fight between pit bulls and not against the bulls themselves.

From these canines rooted most of the bull dog terriers that we know of today.

One of the popular bull dog terriers we have is the American Staffordshire Terrier that project strength and physical power but are in actuality not vicious at all. In fact, this dog is very much associated with its relationship to its family, especially among children.

Sometimes this breed will show aggressiveness which may somehow work against them. Nevertheless, this can be offset by their loving nature and devotion to their human family owners. Thus, it has a stable temperament which make them good pets and excellent watchdogs.

AmStaff terrier, as it is called by its shorter name, suffers in reputation though since it is commonly associated with pit bulls. These dogs are likely to back down from a fight or a challenge and therefore are used often in illegal dog fighting.

Responsible training could alleviate at least part of that situation. Sadly, there are too few AmStaff that are properly trained. And what’s even disturbing is that there are innumerable pit bulls that are continually ill-treated by bloodthirsty owners.

We are often confused of what true pit bulls are. In fact, many lovers of this breed are put off by their name as it elicits unwanted images of gory dog fights. While this breed is not yet officially recognized by the American Dog Breeders Association or the United Kennel Club, the legitimate name remains to be American Pit Bull Terrier.

Please judge these dogs as victims of maltreatment and exploitive training (and inhumane) for self-serving purposes. Otherwise, American Pit Bull Terriers can be very people loving - hardworking too.

So hardworking in fact, that they’ll play till their power reserves are exhausted. That’s why they make great companions while you’re getting in shape or need company during athletic training. If, however, you choose a sedentary lifestyle, please find another breed as your companion.

Unfortunately the American Pit Bull Terrier is not officially recognized by the AKC because it is not considered a purebred. Oh well, we still find them irresistible.

Achieve Success By Going Straight For Your Dreams

Most people are taking the beaten path. They think that is the path of success because people have gone before them and succeeded in that area. But it is the people who took the path not traveled in order to follow their dreams first, where there is no guarantee. Then once they have succeed, they open the way for the rest to follow. They are able to ride on their own success even further because everyone else is following them.

The truth is you have something of value that is unique, therefore only you can express it. We have been so bombarded with seminars on how to do this and how to do that that the reason why there is so much competition in the world is because nobody has anything new to offer. They are all just offering the very same thing. The truth is, the workplace is not really as competitive as it appears to be. There is plenty of room for everybody.

Another reason why the world seems to be so competitive is because the primary motivation for many people is nothing other than self gratification through either money or power. Yet, we know that the most powerful and influential people are not the ones who are seeking anything in particular, but who are always looking for ways to serve others. If every person does the work which they feel most inspired by, then every single need of society would be taken care of. The truth is, there are people in the world who would love to do the work you are doing right now. Even if it is something you can’t stand.

The motivation behind anything you are doing should never be money, or power. It should be service. The truth is, your work is your service. In return for the service we provide we can either receive money or any other form of compensation. So in order for us to be abundant, all we need to do is to serve as many people as we can. In exchange of our service we become prosperous. Money is not the reason why you work, it is simply one of the rewards you get for doing what you enjoy in service to others. If you do that, the amount of money that will come into your life will defy your wildest expectations.

If you look at all the business opportunities that are available to everyone, there is really no reason for anyone to be poor. The reason why so many people experience lack in a world that is so abundant and full of opportunities is because, they were sold on the idea that if they do what the advertiser said they will make money. So the motivation behind the individual is not to provide a service but to make money, and also because the advertiser claims that it is very easy.

You are here to do God’s work. It is that which brings you joy. When you simply do what you came here to do, manifesting miracles will be a byproduct. You will draw to you everything you need or desire to give you fullest expression of your joy. You are a child of the creator and therefore you deserve to have all your desires fulfilled. When you do God’s work, everything that you really want will be brought into your life without struggle or effort.

Don’t get me wrong here, I’m not saying Christmas is just about food, the festive season is a great time for bringing families together and celebrating, but hey, like I said, I really do like the food.

Traditions Of A Recipe For Christmas

This goes way back and to most families is the main focal point of their Christmas. Waiting to see what that big juicy Turkey will taste like and how it will be presented on the table. Of course there are many other meals for Christmas with a lot of these recipes having been passed through generations of families. It’s kind of eerie when we think of this; I mean just think, our ancestors were tucking into the same mince pie that we are eating now at our Christmas Soirée. Well, perhaps not the ’same’ mince pie but certainly the same recipe perhaps.

Some Ideas For A Christmas Recipe

I think the fun recipes are desserts as these are a pleasure to create and everybody always loves a lovely Christmas pudding. The Christmas fruitcake is also a great choice and isn’t too difficult to prepare.

A Simple Fruit Cake Recipe

Why not try this very easy fruit cake which doesn’t take a great deal of time to prepare and tastes absolutely mouth watering. This is traditional recipe for Christmas time and will always be well received by your guests. To make this you will need to compile the following ingredients: -

One and a half cups of raisins Three cups of sifted flour One and a half cups of shredded dates One cup of crushed nuts Two cups of water that has been boiled 5 tablespoons of standard vegetable oil One teaspoon of baking soda Two cups of sugar Two teaspoons each of cloves and cinnamon and add one teaspoon of salt.

Preparation

Now that we have all the ingredients measured as above, simply find a clear and clean surface and then proceed to lay them out. Take the sugar together with the vegetable oil and your raisins and place these in a pot and simmer for approximately twenty minutes or so. Make sure you allow the mix to cool down for approx 5 minutes. During this time the soda, salt and pour cloves can be mixed together in a sifting fashion and then incorporated onto the now cooled down mix. Now get your nuts and start stirring the designated amount into complete mix. An old trick to stop the nuts from sinking is to also add some flour at the same time of adding the nuts. Simply then pour the finished mix into pan which has been pre-greased and bake in your oven at three hundred and twenty degrees for approximately one and a half hours. Set your timer for this and additionally check from time to time.

Making a delicious Fruit cake is just one out of many many mouth watering Christmas recipes that you can make. If you browse the internet you will find all sorts of ideas that you can put to use. Whether you refer to a cookbook or browse the web in general, with a little digging and delving you are bound to find the Christmas recipe that is just right for you and your family.

Credit for personal needs

The following figures prove that the market of personal loans is expanding:

  • By the end of October 2006, the total UK personal debt stood at £1,268 billion. Over the last 12 months, the growth rate increased to 10.4%, which equates to an increase of £110 billion
  • By the end of March 2007, the total UK personal debt stood at £1,318 billion. Over the last 12 months, the growth rate increased to 10.5%, which equates to an increase of £116 billion

According to market analysts, consumer awareness regarding costly overdrafts and payment cards debts has accelerated the growth of the personal loans market. Currently, it accounts for over a quarter of total UK consumer credit gross lending and is expected to grow by 19% by 2011. Analysts say that people are slowly but surely realising that multiple overdrafts and payment card debts – in the form of credit cards, cash cards and store cards – prove to be more costly, as they have high interest rates.

Another reason for the growing popularity of personal loans is that it provides finance for almost anything… Based on the nature and urgency of monetary requirement, demands can be categorised as:

  • Routine demands: Home improvement, health insurance, schooling, career development studies, wedding, vacation, holiday season, vehicle purchase and more
  • Critical demands: Bad credit, debt consolidation, extended treatments, late education fees, surgery and more
  • Lifestyle demands: Cosmetic surgery, flying lessons, gambling, spa treatment, spiritual healing and more

Based on collateral precondition, personal loan deals are either of secured (credit assistance against collateral) or unsecured (credit assistance without collateral) nature. It is a known fact that for homeowners and property owners, the secured type of personal loans is the best option, as it ensures maximum loan benefits. And, for tenants and students, the unsecured type is the only alternative.

Basically, the ability and willingness to pledge collateral is the basic criteria for opting for a secured or unsecured loan deal. However, loan seekers – who are capable and willing to pledge collateral – must give importance to the practicality or feasibility of getting into property related legalities and risking their property for a small monetary requirement.

Making Sure The Spark’s Fly Safely

Filed under: Business, Ecommerce, Women's-Issues — admin @ 11:24 pm

If you were to ask most women about the electricity in their lives what do you think the main answer would be?

OK perhaps you think this is a trick question and that I am expecting an answer to do with either their husbands or partners sexual prowess.

Wrong again because in this case the majority of the replies would probably concern the inability of their partner to actually change a plug correctly.

Many people think they can change plugs and wiring within a house correctly and that because they see it accomplished so effortlessly on TV that it must be extremely easy. This probably accounts for the large numbers of men to be found inhabiting hospital accident and emergency departments at the weekend and during the holidays.

It is a fact that us men do not like to admit because we feel that it is an insult to our masculinity this inability to complete so basic a task successfully.

The other thing that you have to remember is that electricity is dangerous and that if you do not know what you are doing you can actually cause more harm and in extreme cases even kill yourself.

That having been said there is nothing more annoying and frustrating for a guy to arrive at his girlfriend’s or partners flat to find the object of his desire sitting on the floor surrounded by a myriad of wires and saying “ oh dear I appear to have done something wrong and can you fix it darling?”

Phrases like this are enough to strike terror into many a man’s heart as quite often solving the problem created by your dearly beloved can be more confusing when they have already started on the project and screwed it up even more.

That having been said, I have met more than a few women in my time who are more than capable of changing a plug and basic rewiring and accomplish these tasks every bit as well, if not better, than the average man.

So guys, if you really want to find the way to your loved one’s heart, then enrol for an evening class at the local Institute of technology and learn how to change a plug properly.

Either that or find a friendly electrician who can give you some coaching in basic electrical repairs and buy him a few beers for his time.
