Back-Linking Strategies

Filed under: Shopping — admin @ 7:54 am

It’s no secret that getting other websites to link to yours (reciprocal linking) is an important part of your website development and Search Engine Optimization. Steady, strategic link building can help you, not only maintaining your website traffic, but also increase it significantly as well.

However, when adding backlinks to your website be aware of a few things. It’s about quality, not just quantity. Having thousands of random websites pointing a link to you might not always be a good thing. If your link comes from a page with hundreds of links on it, the search engines may deem it a link farm and it will not help you at all, and may even harm you in some cases.

Search engines prefer a link to your website from a website where the page content is relevant to yours. For instance, if you have a website that mainly promotes Health and Beauty Products, you do not want to have a link from a website about Cultivating Orchids in the Amazon. Your link will not likely be seen as relevant to the visitor of the Orchid Society and search engines will also view this linking as non-relevant. Non-relevant links may not hurt you in any way, but they will also not be an effective use of ‘real estate’, in that they will not be considered as important as relevant links.

On the dark side, if you are linked to sites that send spam, are scams, or use black hat techniques, the search engines may ‘paint you with the same brush’, and/or realize you must not know who exactly you are linked with. It is best therefore, to check who your link partners are by visiting the sites to be sure they are what they say they are. Of course it would be difficult to know everything about them, but just try to see the obvious. If you are not doing indiscriminate (massive) linking, it may be a benefit to actually look them up by “Googling” them and just see if there are any negative comments. At the very least, just make sure if it says ‘BabyToys.com’ that it isn’t actually redirected to SeedyTimes.com.

You can get backlinks to your website using a number of different methods: Writing product reviews that allow you to post your URL; Writing articles and submitting them with your website link in your resource box; Submitting your website to directories; Submitting your website to classified ad sites; Posting in forums with your website URL in your signature; Responding to blog postings in niche forums; Ask for a link exchange with other relevant websites personally (ideal).

Building steady and strategic backlinks to your website can benefit you in a number of ways, in particular: Get your website indexed and crawled by search engines; Increase your overall search engine position for keywords or phrases due to higher PR; Increase your visitors from strategic placement of your website link; Possibly also increase brand awareness for your name or business name.

If done properly, building backlinks can greatly increase your website traffic . Just do a little at a time and you may be surprised with the results over a short period of time. There are even companies and software programs out there that will help you build your backlinks if you have the luxury of an operating budget for your business. Alternative Ten To Follow…

Filed under: Shopping — admin @ 4:06 am

Preview of 2007: Matt’s Alternative Ten To Follow…

Well it seems to be the time of year when every man and his dog is sharing the ten horses they’re most looking forward to seeing this season. And, in the spirit of this, I thought I’d share mine with you.

However, if you’re expecting the usual ten Classic contenders, you’re in for a surprise…

Now this list has a chance to go one of two ways: I suspect that there will be no middle ground with this. These horses all have something to prove, and pretty much none of them will make it to the top of their sector.

But, from a betting perspective, does that matter? The reason for picking these ten is that I think they may win once or twice at nice prices. Sure, they will lose more often than they win, but this is my ‘Value Ten To Follow’.

So, with that in mind, here we go:
1. Pieter Brueghel (Tr: D Nicholls; 8yo)
At eight years old, this gelding couldn’t exactly be classified as unexposed, and I make no apology for that. He was rated as high as 100 for Paul Cole as a 3yo, and has consistently given his running year in, year out since.

The handicapper is just showing signs of relenting now, and I can see Pieter Brueghel returning to the winners’ enclosure over a sprint trip (5 or 6 furlongs) this season.

This horse loves fast ground and has won round Chester’s very tight ‘bullring’ circuit twice off marks in the 90’s. Both those wins were when trained by Paul Cole, but Dandy Nicholls loves to win races at the Roodeye as well, so pay special attention should this horse turn up there this term.
2. Crossing The Line (Tr: Sir Mark Prescott; 3yo)
Having had the obligatory three runs in maiden company, and recording the form figures for a major international poker company in so doing (888), this gelding will be seen to much better effect over a mile to a mile and a quarter.

He is owned by shrewd connections (Prescott trains and Wally Sturt owns), and they have had many others run up sequences with similar profiles.

Allotted a mark of just 64 for his next turf run, and having cost, 95,000 guineas as a yearling, there must be expectations of more to come.

Look for Crossing The Line over a mile plus.
3. Tonnante (Tr: Sir Mark Prescott; 3yo)
Again we take the “Prescott-trained thrice raced in maidens” route with the filly, Tonnante.

She is out of Hernando, a marvellous middle distance horse who finished runner-up in the Arc amongst his many big race efforts. The dam’s side has stamina in abundance too, having – apparently – been a high class winner in Brazil.

In three maiden efforts to date, Tonnante has mid-pack twice over seven furlongs, and then fourth of five over a mile.

If I’m reading her right, she is crying out for at least a mile and a half, possibly further, and could be one of Prescott’s to run up a sequence.
4. Spirit Of The Mist (Tr: T J Pitt; 3yo)
I like this trainer, and his handling of Les Arcs last season was nothing short of expert, especially for one so new to the training ranks.

Pitt has assembled a useful looking squad for 2007, and I expect him to regularly be among the winners: definitely a trainer to keep on the right side of.

This colt ran green on debut, before winning nicely in a decent enough race second time out as a two year old last season. He then ran in the Goffs Million race in Ireland and finished last of 28 (albeit sent off only a 16/1 shot).

That run is easily forgiven and forgotten and, off a mark of 80, I expect this horse to show improvement as a three year old. The one concern I have is that the trainer may decide to campaign him at a higher level than handicaps, in which case he may be found out.

But, nonetheless, I think this one will win races in his grade and he readily makes the team.
5. Rapid City (Tr: Julia Feilden; 4yo)
Ok, so I probably do need to apologise for including this horse in my list, as I own a tenth of him! However, I think he takes his place on merit.

Having been bought cheaply from Criquette Head’s French stable, he has run six times over the winter, winning three and finishing second twice.

His run last Saturday was all wrong. Over a trip short of his best, and with pace setting tactics employed, I am convinced that we did not see the best of Rapid.

His trainer, Julia Feilden, has high hopes for him, and the plan ultimately is the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot. He’ll need to win a race between now and then to have a chance of making the cut.

But he is a horse who definitely wants to hear his hooves rattle, and an end to end mile (which is like a mile and a quarter in a run of the mill race) will suit him down to the ground.

Rapid has not finished winning just yet!!
6. Monte Alto (Tr: Luca Cumani; 3yo)
Luca Cumani is one of the great modern trainers in my opinion. He has had his (all too human) failings, and been involved in a few scandals (he’s Italian, what do you expect?!), but ultimately this man rarely fails to deliver.

He has some very good looking prospects for 2007, and I nominate Monte Alto as one to be on the right side of.

In two runs to date, this horse has finished third both times in decent maiden company.

He’s bred for a mile, and was staying on over seven furlongs in his two runs to date. Given normal physical improvement from two to three, he may actually stay a little further.

He’s likely to have one more run in a maiden and, while I wouldn’t put anyone off backing him in that, it is in decent three year old handicaps that I think ‘Filthy’ Luca will be looking to get the money down.
7. Furmigadeligiusta (Tr: Luca Cumani; 3yo)
Three runs in maidens to date for this one, which is a ploy that Signor Cumani uses almost as effectively as Sir Mark Prescott.

Having been the ‘lantern rouge’ in his first two starts (i.e. last man home!), he made eye-catching progress on his third maiden start. I have a strong suspicion that his progress was actually a bit too eye-catching for the trainer, as the word may now be out.

This horse will very likely win races this year, and the good news is… you don’t have to be able to pronounce his name to bet him!!
8. Novellara (Tr: Henry Cecil; 4yo)
I may be indulging myself by including horses from the stables of my favourite trainers here, but isn’t that what Ten To Follow is about?!

Novellara is a slightly better class animal than my other selections, and I nominate her because I reckon she might just get Mr Cecil (where’s his knighthood for heaven’s sake?) back into the Group 1 winners.

I’m not privy to trainer plans, and this may be pie in the sky, but I reckon this mare could have chances if she runs in the Coronation Cup at Epsom.

Although she’s currently only Listed / Group 3 class, I reckon that given soft under hoof conditions, she will be competitive in the best mile and a half races, especially among her sex.

Cecil is a master of training fillies and mares, and – if this one hasn’t already been sent to the paddocks (her breeding is phenomenal and she already has black type) – I think she will win some nice races this season.
9. Bertoliver (Tr: Dean Ivory; 3yo)
Another man who might bang in a few decent priced winners this season, Dean Ivory looks to have a useful tool in Bertoliver.

This horse ran seven times as a juvenile, which might lead you to believe that he’s exposed. However, I suspect that there is improvement in him for a year of physical growth.

Last seen when runner up (the remainder well beaten off) in an average nursery, he had run extremely creditably the time before, when ‘winning’ the middle race in a hot Newmarket maiden (the field split into three groups across the track).

A well bred sprinting type, I reckon he’ll get competitive in some decent sprint handicaps this season. Pay special attention if/ when he runs at Windsor.
10. Worldly (Tr: Sylvester Kirk; 3yo)
This guy is going to be big! One of the real rising stars in the flat training ranks, make a note of anything this man runs anywhere. He is not afraid to take on the big boys (and win), as his haul of over half a million quid in prize money last season will testify.

The horse I nominate here is a slightly risky one (aren’t they all?!), as he burst a blood vessel on his final run last season. It can often be the case that horses who ‘burst’ become susceptible to it, so it may be that he becomes a regular bleeder.

However, I’m happy to include him with the caveat that, should he ‘burst’ again, he will be struck off my top ten.

So why am I including him? Good question! His previous two runs had resulted in a runner-up placing on debut, and a facile win (at odds of 1/4) second time up. In that final race where he bled, he was sent off the 7/2 joint favourite as one of the top weights in a decent looking Newmarket nursery.

If his bleeding problem has subsided, he looks set to take a hand in some good three year old handicaps this season at around a mile and a quarter.

So there it is – my ten plodders to follow. Probably no equine superstars in there, but quite possibly some good payoff’s to be had for those who keep the faith.

I’ll continue to report on the progress of this bunch and, if you have any comments, or your own dark horses to follow for the season, why not add them as a comment to this article.

I’ve no monopoly on content here, my racing friends!

Best Regards Matt

Stairclimber and Elliptical Exercise Machines

Filed under: Shopping — admin @ 8:17 pm

Elliptical Exercise and Stairclimber machines are a great way to burn calories, pump up your heart rate, and work the quads, hamstrings, and butt. It is also a good exercise to take the pressure off your knees from running. Most Elliptical exercise machines feature an interactive display that shows you how long you’ve been stepping, how many calories you’ve expended, and your level of intensity. Stairclimbers will send your feet marching up and down, while elliptical exercise machines move your feet in a pattern of a flattened-out circle.

The Routine: Here’s how to get more out of your stepping or climbing workout.

-Start slowly:

It’s best to step or climb for 30 minutes and work up from there.

-Position your feet well:

Users may feel their toes become numb and tingly before the end of the session. If you’re getting weird messages from your southernmost reaches, you’re probably putting too much pressure on the balls of your feet, pinching off blood circulation to your toes.

Move your feet forward or back on the foot pads until you find a position the lets them feel normal. Also wiggle your toes periodically to ward off the tingles.

-Step away from the arm rest:

You’ll get more work out of your workout when you don’t lean heavily on the armrest. For starters, you’ll be bearing and moving around more of your own weight, and burning more calories as a result. Second, when you stand up straight, you give your abs a better workout because they have to support you during exercise. You can also burn more calories, add your arms to the action, pumping them as you would during a run. You can burn up to 30% more calories by not using the armrest, which makes the workout more efficient

-Warmup and Cooldown:

Be sure to ease into your workout to allow your muscles to warm up, and slow down at the end of the session to cool down. You’ll probably find that your machine has warmups and cooldowns built into its workouts.

Choosing Your Dog’s Name

Filed under: Shopping — admin @ 10:40 am

Because dog confusion is a major obstacle to training success, what you name your dog and how you use that name can determine your success in his training and behavior.

Dogs are vocal, not verbal. How words sound is important to them, so consider that then choosing names and commands. To your dog, the words “No,” “Know,” “Beau” and “Joe” are the same sound; the dog will have trouble knowing which you mean. If you name him “Beau” and use “No!” as a reprimand, saying, “Beau, you know what I want!” reprimands him twice although you didn’t intend a single one!

You always want your dog to come to you when you call him, so how much sense does it make to name your dog “Beau” and use “NO!” as your reprimand? He’ll have trouble knowing whether you called him or yelled at him.

I like to have a dog choose his name. There are two ways to do this. First, spend enough time with the dog to really get to know his personality and select a suitable name. For example, when new to us my Husky-mix not only jumped on me, he pinned me to the wall and took stuff out of my shirt pocket!

I said to my wife: “Look at this! I’m getting mugged!” Naturally, he became Mugger! A client had a very rambunctious Great Dane pup and I love the name she chose: Chaos! Let the dog earn his name!

Another way is to make a list of your favorite names and–in a playful and animated voice–try them on the dog. The one to which the dog reacts best is IT! And he WILL react differently to different names! Try it!

Contrary to popular belief, a dog’s name should change with every new owner. The old thought was that once a dog recognized hits name, you couldn’t or shouldn’t change it. Wrong! Since many owners make the mistake of using the name with a reprimand, or even AS the reprimand, if you keep the old name you tell the dog you’re one of THEM–the former crew.

If the dog is now yours, you can’t presume former owners did everything right. If they did, you probably wouldn’t have him. And you’re trying to tell the dog this is a new start in a new home, right? Then why use the old name–especially when it was likely used negatively in the past?

Be sure to teach the dog his new name by using it only with things the dog likes such as treats, praise, meals and love and affection. And don’t choose a new name that sounds a lot like the old one, like “Bo” and “Noah”.

Use the new name consistently and positively ONLY with things the dog likes and within a week or two he should respond nicely. We changed the names of two of our dogs and now they ignore the old names.

Meta Tags Can Help With The Indexing Of Your Site

Filed under: Shopping — admin @ 2:23 am

When it comes to your Meta tags you want them to contain key information about your website as well as your top keywords. Make sure they keywords are in the title as well as in the body of the text. Make sure you write a description about your page using specific information and keywords, but keep it short and sweet. All your keywords should always be relevant to the content within the page they describe. With the title tag, each search engine looks at it and uses it primarily the same way, to summarize and compile the websites contents for its search engine users. The how and where your keywords are in your title tag are the most important element with to which you can get benefit from using title tag. Choosing keywords is an essential part of producing a successful website.

When creating the title for the website makes sure you include keywords in the title that are on the page. There has been a lot of talk about title tags about how they are not important anymore, but in reality they are still important. On your page to properly place your title tag you should put it between the HEAD tags, one of the best place to include it is right after the HEAD tag. Most of the SE use the meta title as the title of the page. When you do a search on search engines the title that is listed is the title on the website and sometime the Meta title is used. Once you understand why the title is so important, you can easily write more effective title tags. The title is so important because the first thing that a human searcher sees is the title. The Meta title is a critical factor in controlling where your site is listed in search engines.

In many results the Meta description will appear on the results page right under the title. The only caveat to remember is that your META description will only show if the search term is in the META description. Try to keep the title brief so it is not cut off in the results, it is best practice if you keep the description under 200 characters.. Your description contains your important key phrase and key words. Place your description in the opening paragraph, if you do this the description is weighted heavier by search engines. Sometimes even google picks up description tag. Make sure that title and description is crafted neatly and attracts both visitors and search engines.

Bots have been spidering the web since the ’90’s, including pages into various collections. Pictures are worth 1000 words to you and me, but zero to a search engine. Even if you ensure you have completely relevant Meta Tags, some search engines will still ignore them. Always make sure that your meta tags do not have any line breaks. The more educated you are about what search engines are looking for, the better you will be able to respond and rise in the rankings.

If you only put the description in the Meta tag section, then the search engine robots will see it but many of your visitors will not. Don’t hide this information in a place where your readers cannot see it. Meta tags are HTML elements used to provide structured metadata about a web page. Using Meta tags is not some magic answer that everyone thinks it is. Meta Tags are most commonly used to distinguish the keywords that are relevant to a page’s content. The robots do scan the Meta tags and some of the search engines will use the information from them. Meta tags are still important today, they might not be as important but you still need to use them if you want to compete with other sites.

Kitchen Lighting Options

Filed under: Shopping — admin @ 1:29 am

Perhaps no other room in your home provides as many lighting options as the kitchen. Just about any type of ceiling or wall mount can work here, which can be both a good thing and a bad thing. Having this many choices at your disposal could be dizzying. Luckily for you, however, we are here to guide through the muck and arm you with the knowledge needed to make a wise choice in picking out your kitchen lighting.

The kitchen is a place that needs to be well lit. Preparing food, reading recipes, etc., the kitchen is no place for mood lighting. Pay special attention to work station areas such as islands, sinks, and of course your range and stove area. This is where the magic happens in the kitchen, so make sure the focus of your lighting is on these areas.

A very popular trend in lighting recently is pendant lighting. Pendants are ideal for many areas of the kitchen, especially the aforementioned work station areas. If your kitchen has an island, consider a row or cluster of pendants to provide the precise lighting needed for this area. Many pendants are low voltage and use energy-efficient bulbs, making them an environmentally sound option as well as a stylish one.

Other ceiling options include flush and semi-flush mounts, as well as smaller chandeliers. Flush and semi-flush mounts are no longer just boring square and circular fixtures as in years past. These updated fixtures can be found with exquisite detailing and original designs.

Wall lighting options for the kitchen are also plentiful. Sconces and wall lamps can add a decorative flair to your kitchen while acting as an excellent source of secondary light to the ambient light provided by a ceiling fixture. Wall fixtures are especially important if you use pendant lighting instead of a ceiling mount. Pendants will often not provide enough light for your kitchen, and wall lamps and sconces are ideal for picking up the slack.

E-Newsletters … Trash or Treasure?

Most of us receive dozens of e-zines, e-newsletters or e-bulletins in our inbox each week. Many of these are just “spam” - useless advertising messages that seem to jam the inbox all the time.

But sometimes, in the pile of inbox rubbish, you get something that is worthwhile - an e-newsletter that is worth reading and full of interesting information.

So, the important thing to think about is that some e-mail pieces and e-newsletters are read, if they are well written. You need to write them in an interesting way and include useful, valuable information and you will develop a loyal following. This loyal following, in time, will turn into a significant increase in your sales.

Some of these emails that appear in your inbox can be written either in plain text or in HTML. Which one is best?

Should you use HTML or plain text?

It depends on your circumstances. Newsletters in plain text are usually the best option, but HTML is also acceptable these days. HTML can be very expensive, so if you have only a small budget, you may not be able to afford the design fees for a HTML version.

You will find there are “for and against” for each type. HTML looks more professional on the one hand, but it is does not the appearance of a personalized email, so there’s every likelihood that it may not be read.

Which one you use depends on your situation and the type of business you are in, your client profiles and what you hope to achieve with your e-newsletter.

It is important that your e-newsletter contains interesting articles and that the information is easy to read.

Hints on writing your e-newsletter articles:

1. In an introductory paragraph introduce subscribers to what they will learn

2. Include interesting headlines which are enticing and curiosity-building.

3. At the start of the email, you could include a “what’s inside” section.

4. You can include a paragraph which links through to the full article on your website

5. Include a list of past articles at the bottom with links to your website

6. Your lead article should be a very short, “quick tips” article so people can view at least one article without clicking through to your site.

7. Include special offers, contents and surveys to involve your audience.

8. You can also include links to interesting resource sites they might appreciate.

9. Your e-newsletters should not be used solely for promoting special offers or selling stuff, because people don’t appreciate that and you’ll lose many of your subscribers if you do.

Truck and SUV Exhaust Systems

Filed under: Shopping — admin @ 7:04 am

Let’s assume that you have decided to purchase a performance exhaust system. Let’s also assume that you already know the benefits of putting a high-performance exhaust system on your truck or SUV: better gas mileage, more horsepower and torque, and a louder, high-performance sound. These high-performance exhaust systems give you all of those benefits by providing less restriction and making it easier for your motor to send it’s exhaust gases through the exhaust system.

And just a side note, the following phrases all mean the same thing: cat-back exhaust, high-performance exhaust, high-flow exhaust system, performance exhaust, free-flowing exhaust, aftermarket exhaust, and custom exhaust.

So, now that you already know the benefits of a high-flowing exhaust system, let’s talk about the different styles or the different configurations for cat-back exhaust systems.

Single Side Exit This type of aftermarket exhaust system uses one pipe to vent the exhaust gases from your motor and away from your truck or SUV. Typically, these have an exit location (where the end of the pipe is) just behind the rear, passenger-side wheel. These also generally cost less than a system with two exhaust pipes. Surprisingly, these single pipe systems tend to produce more power than most dual systems.

Dual Side Exit This style of custom exhaust system is quite similar to the Single Side Exit, but uses two pipes to exit the exhaust gases from your truck or SUV instead of one. This means that your engine has less restriction and generally has quicker throttle response. It also lends itself to producing a louder, more aggressive exhaust tone.

Dual Rear Exit This configuration of high-flow exhaust system uses two pipes to vent the exhaust gases from your motor. This unique design differs from the previous two because the pipes exit out the rear of the vehicle, just under the bumper or roll pan. This free-flowing style of exhaust system has all of the benefits of the Dual Side Exit exhaust but can be perceived as louder because the sound is directed out the rear of your vehicle, directly at the traffic behind you. Depending on how aggressive your driving habits are, this can either be a good thing, or a bad thing. One side note: you may not be interested in this exhaust system if you are towing any kind of trailer because the exhaust gases can leave soot on whatever you’re towing.

Extreme Dual Exit or Opposite Side Dual This style of cat-back exhaust uses two pipes to exit the exhaust gases from your motor but differs from the Dual Rear Exit. The Extreme Dual Exit has one pipe exiting behind each rear tire. This free-flowing exhaust system has all of the same benefits of the other dual systems, but unlike the Dual Rear Exit, it won’t leave soot on your trailer.

How to Easily Boost Your Word Power!

Have you ever wished that you had a big, impressive vocabulary? Increasing your vocabulary can be fun and easy, and you’ll become smarter too. It doesn’t take a lot of time to build an impressive vocabulary – just a few minutes a day!

Learning new words expands our understanding and improves our “mental muscles”. Every new word we learn entices our mind to stretch into new areas.

When we have a larger bank of words to draw on, we improve our ability to think and express ourselves. Our thinking will become more fluid and supple, and we will understand more of the world around us and within us, when we have a larger vocabulary. In the modern world the ability to use words effectively is often highly rewarded.

The English language has an enormous number of words, perhaps more than half a million of them. Most people however, use a vocabulary of just a few thousand common words on a daily basis. It is possible to get by in the English language with a limited number of words, but you expand your options as you expand your vocabulary. When you understand very few words, you are limited in your ability to learn new information.

If you want to increase your vocabulary, there are many approaches you can use. One good way is to read books or articles that are slightly more difficult than what you are accustomed to. When you come across a word you don’t know, see if you can figure out its meaning from the context. Look at the way the word is made up, with its letters and syllables. Does it remind you of any words you already know? What parts of it are familiar?

Many words in the English language are made up of common roots they share with other words. You may be able to deduce the meaning of the new word from the way the syllables are put together and the way it is used. You should consult a dictionary to be sure.

If you come across a word you don’t understand during the course of a lecture or a conversation, you can ask someone to explain the meaning of the word. Many people are reluctant to do this because they are afraid of exposing their ignorance by asking.

It is occasionally true that other people may choose to look down on you if you confess that you don’t understand a certain word. On the other hand, they may be happy to teach you something new. If you decide you don’t want to ask anyone else for the meaning of words you don’t know, be sure to make a note of those new words and look them up later.

Should you try to learn new words directly from a dictionary? It depends on your learning style and your preference. Some people will become bored very quickly while reading a dictionary, while others will find it fascinating.

All dictionaries are not alike, and you may find a certain version far more useful than the rest. Good dictionaries will do more than just give a definition of a word. Some will show you an example of the word used in a sentence. Often they will show you alternate spellings, and give the plural forms of nouns and the past tense of verbs. Most dictionaries will show you correct pronunciation.

Effective Marketing is About Loving Your Customers

Filed under: Management, Shopping — admin @ 1:46 am

“Quality means doing it right when no one is looking.” ~Henry Ford

Do you cut corners in your products and services? Or do you make the honest effort to do it right even when no one is looking? You can’t expect perfection as that is an impossible goal for the imperfect people we are. The question is simply if you have done your best. Do you do the job right even if your customer or client may never know the difference?

Marketing with Integrity is about loving your customer. Develop a relationship with them. Advise them. Help them. Offer them products and services which will help them. Protect them from those who would take advantage of them. It isn’t about being the cheapest in the market, although you could make that your unique selling position.

It is really caring about the results your customers get from your products. If good service and quality require higher prices, then you’ll have to charge higher prices. Base your business on really helping solve your customer’s problems.

That shouldn’t just be a buzz phrase. Make it the truth to you and your business.

Employ educational selling. Tell your customers the whole story if necessary. Give them reasons why they should buy from you. Promote the benefits of your product or service. Have ads which tell a story of how your product has helped other customers and clients. Just make sure it is a true story!

Being honest doesn’t mean being boring.

It also doesn’t mean being bland. You can still have exciting benefit rich ad copy and true stories to sell you products. You have to use good salesmanship to bring in buyers. Just don’t use salesmanship as an excuse for lying or dishonesty.

If you truly love your customers, you won’t deceive them or trick them into buying something they shouldn’t. You won’t tell them this is the best price when it isn’t. You won’t make up fake stories to sell more items. You will do everything you can to help them make a right buying decision. You will give them all the information they need to make a wise decision.

You will show them how well your product will help their lives. Do your best to produce or find the absolute best product or service for your customer’s wants and needs. Tell them how your product will improve their lives. Use examples. Tell true stories.

Paint a picture of the results they can achieve through the product. Once someone buys, nurture and continue to care about them. Support and reinforce their buying decision by how you contact them. Then offer them other products and services which will benefit their lives. Don’t use integrity as an excuse to keep your products hidden and not show the full benefits of them to your customers.

You’re hurting your customers if you keep good quality products hidden from them!
